I have two pictures possibly lithos framed and under glass I am not able to remove pictures they are stapled or nailed. The pictures are signed R.Brunel.

After researching these pictures all I came up with is Isambard Kingdom Brunel, is this the same as R.Brunel? I found The Belfry of Brudges, Belgium color litho at the Bridgeman Art Library, it has the same signature as the two pictures I have.

The paper on the back of the pictures is staped on old and has some tears around edges.

Also I was wondering these pictures would have any value?

Thanks

I have a similar print, signed by R. Brunel (same signature as the one you posted). It also has written "Bruges - Le lac d' Amour" below the print (or could be a watercolor) It belonged to my grandmother, who did some traveling abroad in the 1960's and 70's. (she passed away in 1988) I, too, am wondering about the artist. Isambard Kingdom Brunel was an engineer and inventor, and as far as I can tell, was not an artist. Anyone else have some information on R. Brunel?

I have the same picture. I bought it at a Goodwill store in Redondo Beach, CA in the early 80's for $5.00. It's in an old frame. I wish someone knew more about it. The signature looks like it was signed in pencil.
