My spouse just recently has been dianosed bi-polar.
I've studied about the disorder, and I feel as though I
Have learned a lot however, I was wondering if any
One has any advice as to how to deal with the mania and
Depression, and how not to take all of this personally?

My advice would be to always take baby steps first, have your spouse communicate freely about there feelings, and things that you can do to help them. Get there opinion. You understand that it's a uncontrolable condition so just have hope and faith in yourself. Take it easy don't put too much stress on your shoulders

I'm sorry that you are dealing with that situation but I commend you for staying in the relationship. It's so important to be supportive and continue to attempt to keep things as normal as possible. While the highs and lows and mood swings can drag you down, remember that it can't be helped. I want to ask you if you have decided to go the route of medication. It's important to stay medicated this will keep the moods stable. Prayer and understanding. Peace and blessings to you and yours.

Thank you both for answering...

She has decided to go on medication. She's been on it for a little over two weeks now. I do see a difference in her and I always remind her that by seeking help and following through with it that I am proud of her.

We're taking it day by day.
