I can't understand this problem. I have a new 1gb Memory Card that mounts/opens fine on a Windows PC and a Mac but when I put it in my Nokia n70 I it reports it as corrupt, which is OK BUT fails to format it. It starts the format and then immediately goes to a screen saying (memory card corrupted)I have tried formating it on the Mac and the PC also but it still fails to format every time on the n70.

Make sure that the capacity of the card is within the limits of the device.

If it's only one card from one manufacturer, then it may be a manufacturer issue or timing issue.
If it happens on multiple manufacturers's then I'd conside rthe camera or socke in the camerat to be an issue.
You might check with the manufacturer if anything is known about compatibility.

I did find this issue regarding dual voltage. Nokia Support Discussions - Which memory card brand is compatible with Nokia N70? - Nseries Devices and S60 Smartphones - Nokia Support Discussions (http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=25216)
This is useless support from Nokia:

Used n70 memory card as search terms.
Somebody on thir forums was interested in selling me a phone. They gave me this answer when I said, I got no information from "n70 memory card"
