My 98 honda accord with 146000 miles stops on me while am driving and the lights turn off and on on the dash board but it turns on with no problem sometimes on the freeways I can just put it on N and it turns back on like nothing... anyone have any ideas on what to do. Or has had the same problem

Have you had any recent work done on your Honda as in the fuel or exhaust systems? You may want to take it to a repair shop and have them put it on a computer to see if there's any error codes showing up. Good luck

There are several possibilities:

It's entirely possible the alternator brushes have worn so much that they are "bouncing," causing intermittent voltage.
. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

ICM and coil failure are two of the most common problems on Hondas of this generation. Intermittently, the engine will run and then die. I recommend replacing these problematic components every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. If the battery checks out fine, this is likely the solution to your problem.
