I live in baltimore md, I'm involved in a joint custody case concerning my child, recently found out that mother was charged with assault second degree, assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to injure from fighting with some dude, she also placed charges on him in return second degree assault. They both pleaded the fifth and the case was noll processed(kissed and made up) Is possible for me to see oringinal charge sheet. And will this help me in my custody case, if it doesn't I won't use it, my intentions are not to go to court and sling dirt just want to see my my child mother is praticing parent alienation. For complete story check mrgarybennett (family law) Thought I should be asking this question under crimminal law, since it's a domestic violence charge.

It may or may not. You never know until you submit it. Request the reports as I told you earlier. I was told that I would have to wait for a report until after the initial hearing for the charges, so you may have to wait a few weeks. But it's better to have too much information than not enough.

I don't know what you mean by "original charge sheet." The police incident report will state what she or the other man were arrested for, or at least why the police were dispatched.

You can go to the Criminal Clerk's Office down at the Court House in person and ask to see both of the criminal files of these 2 individuals. The original police report will be in the official court file. You can request the Clerk to copy both of the police reports for a nominal charge - usually 10 or 25 cents a page. It's public information. You don't have to go to the police department for it.

As a paralegal I used to go to the court house all the time and copy documents in both civil and criminal files with no problem at all. You can do the same.

I had advised him to contact the police department because of my experience - I called for a copy of one report, and instead got five back!
