Unless you tell us about any will this is anybodies guess. Please try to punctuate and use capitals, makes it so much easier to understand you.

If there was no will, then his estate needs to be distributed according to the laws of the state he lived in. Essential info that you omitted.
But, from a practical matter, if there is no one else making a claim on the estate, then you can just take everything.

My dad had no will my mom and my dad was not married but we all stay together. My dad received the stamps from his sister which they brought to him about 4 months before he passed on. Just after the funeral my aunt said we must sell the stamps so they can get money. Do they have to get from the stamp money or not. Thanks

If your mom and dad were together for a long time, it would be just for her to have a say in the money and also to have some.
If your aunt had money invested in the stamps, she also would have a say
Usually, the spouse/partner is first, then the children, then other relatives. That is the usual unless otherwise stated in writing.
It is so difficult when a loved one is grieving to get affairs sorted out, time will help. Condolences for your loss.

Wait a minute... your first post said he got the stamps from his mom; your second post said he got them from his sister.
If you want accurate advice, then you need to give us an accurate story and answer the questions that were already posed, rather than starting new threads with conflicting information.

OK grandma dies and stamps go to your aunt who then brings them to your dad. Possession means nothing here, did grandma have a will and did it give to stamps to your aunt or your dad? If grandma died with no will it is highly likely aunt and dad split the stamp collection. Tell us all the edtails up front.

I see nothing about bereavement and everything about "who gets the stuff."
Should be moved to the legal board.
