I vaguely remember watching a robot movie when I was younger and I know its not short circuit but it was very similar.

I know I took part in Japan and had a little American girl who's dad was a scientist there that created this robot.
She didn't have any friends other than the robot and I can't remember if it malfunctioned or something but they ended up running away and the robot took care her until she was back with her dad again.

The only few parts of the movie that stick in my mind was a weird title that I can't find but I may have it wrong but it was something like "I (picture of a heart) U"
The few bits I remember were a bit where they miked a cow and the robot stopped her from drinking the milk popped his finger in heated it up and said something about the guy who came up with pasturisation.
The other was when they were trapped somewhere and the robot took control of a heap of r/c toys.
There was a few more bits and pieces but I was like 14yo when I saw it and it was a kids movie.

The robot was black, white and grey and looked a little like R2-D2 as well but much bigger.

Anyone out there recall seeing anything similar to the details above? I'd really like to find out what it was and see if I can get a copy for my kids plus add to my collection.
