I was cleaning an exterior (back porch) ceiling fan globe and I broke it. House is 13 years old and I have no idea what the brand is. Took the broken globe to Lowe's, HD, and Dan's Fan City and no dice. They all have 9 1/2" circumference, but mine is 9".

I looked online but cannot seem to find a simple 9" replacement glass.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Laura

Not sure what is 9 inches. The outer diameter? Or the "neck" opening.

Here is one that has a few with 9 " Neck openings:

Replacement Globe Lighting (http://www.loveitlighting.com/cgi-bin/search_by_catagory.pl_pp_catagory_ee_Replacement_4 )

And many other sizes of globes and openings.

Best to measure the actual opening that goes over the bulb, called the neck opening, do a search for that.

Do you know the make of the fan?

Thanks for the reply... you've given me more info that I've found in the past 2 days!

If you were to take this globe and turn it face down in the sand, the ring that it would make is 9".

I just looked on the link you gave me and I don't see a 9" globe? I'm sure it's something I'm not seeing... Thanks for your help!

I would attempt to order the shade from the fan's manufacturer first, if possible. I have no idea if it's a generic shade or something specific.
