Ok I am 36 weeks prgenant now and I have to go see my OB twice a week because my amnionic fluid is leaking somewhere, I was at 11 cm then I dropped to 7.3 cm and as of Friday am stable there, I am freaking out and trying to take this a day at a time, the doc said if I get any lower in fluid, we will schdule a csection, and if it drops to 5cm we will immeditly do a csection, I am extremely stressed out, I know its not good for the baby for me to stress so much but, its hard not to, my baby is not as active as she used to be and they have said that is a result of the low fluid, but if I don't feel her moving at least 4 times an hour to go in right away, I'm not sleeping well because I'm afraid I will miss her not moving, and something terrible happen, and I have horrible nightmares about her not being OK, I don't know what to do, I go to the doctor tomorrow, and I want to talk to himabout this but I don't want to sound crazy, do I sound nuts?? I in no way want her to come early, but I wonder if she and I would not be better off with her delivered?

She may be better off being delivered. Your doctor should be doing a biophysical profile (BPP) every seven days to determine fetal well being.

Not only am I a labor and delivery nurse, I also had this problem with my daughter and was induced at 36 weeks. She's now a happy, healthy, thriving almost 16 year old.

My doc is doing a BPP twice a week evey Tuesday and Friday, yesterday was good news, no drop in fluid, but that leaves me anxious for Friday, he said Friday that we may talk induction in the next week, or even a csection, it depends on the results of the non stress test they are going to do
