1. Multiply each item in the first equation by -3.
2. Add the two equations, item by item.
3. Y will be eliminated. Solve for X

alternately
1. Multiply each item in the first equation by 3
2. Subtract the two equations, item by item.
3. Y will be eliminated. Solve for X.

Hi shauna1989! Welcome to AMHD! :)

You should have started another thread for your question...

Anyway, concerning your problem:

You have 7 balls in all.
The probability of having a green ball is 2/7.
Now that you removed a ball, there are 6 left.
The probability of having a red ball now is 5/6.

Since it is one probability immediately followed by the other one without replacing the first ball, you multiply both probabilities: 2/7 * 5/6 = 10/42 = 5/21
