Hi, I have a Kenmore Elite washing machine, heavy duty, king size capacity, quiet pak 2, 3 speed motor with 6 speed combinations that won't spin or drain or anything. I started a load and it filled up with water and it won't do anything else. I turn the dial to different positions and sti;; won't do anything (when I try to turn it on it just makes a humming noise). What could and how do I fix this?

When my washer did that it was the pump. Dang things. It had that humming noise too. I had to take all the clothes out, drain the tub with a saucepan and wait until hubby got home. He got a pump that weekend and replaced it and it worked. Had to wait to wash clothes though.
Do you have a warranty on your machine? Is it still in force? Does it cover repairs? Hope you don't have to wait long to get it fixed.
