View Full Version : Losing It

I know I do not have a severe mental disorder. If it were severe, I assume I would be significantly worse off than I am, but--

I have OCD. That is a pre-existing diagnosed condition. Many of my symptoms could stem from that. Otherwise:

-I go through manic episodes. I have to something creative, I get jittery, I have to move. I have to talk. I have to be active, and it is not at a time when activity is convenient.
-I have periods (lasting minutes) when I have overwhelming moments of despair, followed by more of an uncontrollable need to write, sing, dance and move.
-I am slightly agoraphobic.
-Sometimes I hear sounds--not voices--that are not there.
-I often see things out of the corners of my eyes that could not be there.
-I am extremely paranoid.
-I am somewhat of a hypochondriac.
-I get extremely irritable for no reason and lash out at people, followed by a realization of my violent temper and guilt.
-I have been diagnosed with a positive ANA if that means anything for these particular symptoms.
-I am constantly exhausted. I could get thirteen hours of sleep and still be exhausted, save for the periods of unexplained excitement I go through.

More on the--what I call--"manic" episodes: I lose inhibitions. I do things and realize that I did them or said them moments later.

Help?

Perhaps if you could tell us what your question is? I don't know that we can give you a diagnosis, or, at least we would be reluctant to!
