2 wall outlets suddenly don't work. OK yesterday, not today. I run TV, vcr & dvd through a surge protector. To get them working I use an extension from across the room as a temp solution.
No power on either outlet. Checked circuit breakers. Re-set still nothing. Removed cover from breaker panel & have all live circuits. Live wire tester at each breaker.
Any ideas?

Hi Jimbye4, you may want to pull the receptacle from the wall to see if you have power at the wires on the receptacle, If you do replace the receptacle, good luck

Pulled wall outlets. No power with multi metre or voltage indicator.

Are there any GFCI's in the line?

Can you find another outlet on the same circuit that works? If you can find the last outlet before the dead one you may have had a wire come loose or break.
