My wife has just had a personal judgement against her for a credit card. We are not legally separated (trying to work things out). The judgement is solely against my wife, not me.

Questions:

1 - I have a checking account with no one else's name on it, Is it in jeopardy?

2- What about my wages?

3- My wife and I had a small home business with a business checking that has a small amt of money. The business account has the business name and my wife's name on it. The business is a S corp. Is that business account at all protected from personal judgement?

Thanks so much in advance.

1) no - its her judgment, its her responsibility. An account without her name is safe.

2) see 1.

3) sorry - I don't know business law. I suspect it is free from risk however.
