I live in Orange County,Florida and have a Final Order of Protection in Kings County, New York. The Final order has been in effect for two months now... and I will like it to be removed/modify(no longer need it)
It started when me and my fiancé took a trip to New York in April 2k9 and we got into a dispute and he got arrested. I went to the DA Office and told them that I no longer want to press charges and sign off on it also... I was told at that point the state might take over the case... so he has to show up to all his court dates (which he did)... he plead guilty and they gave him a 2 year order of protection... now I will like to have this order of protection remove/modify(I no longer need it and I will like to go on with my life and marry my fiancé in December 2k9).
Can someone please help me? Do I have to go back to New York to take of this matter or can it be done via telephone?
