Hi.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 GTB5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Windows XP

I have a fast computer with 4 meg of ram, running Windows XP. I recently joined Twitter. At first I could log in fine. Now when I try and log in with FF the login box disappears (it's a floating one) and I am left on the home page, non logged in. I click 'log in' and try again, and the same happens.

This also happened recently with my bank account - Cahoot.com. This time the login is on the page. When I clicked 'log on' the logon page would not appear. Trying Cahoot now, it does work today. So that one is sporadic.

All these problems disappear when I use IE, which I never normally use.

I had the same problem with my previous computer - but with a different banking account, this time Alliance and Leicester. I finally worked out it was a browser issue and had to use IE whenever I wanted access to that account.

I appreciate I use lots of addons and it might be a conflict with one or other. Screenshot of them attached.

I work with FF all day every day - and switching to IE now and again is a pain! Thanks for any help.

Check your tools, options, contents tab and see if checking or unchecking those 4 items may make a difference

Banking has been one are that Firefox has had problems with. It's a well-known fact that IE doesn't follow the rules for html, so some websites have to have exceptions.

This does give Micro$oft an advantage over competiting browsers. I've heard that Micro$oft may start following the rules, but in order to do so, they will add some option to revert to the old playing field.

Remember there is an extension in Firefox that renders the page in IE.
