I need to get some employment! I am an ex-con, doing anything I can to get right with God, and the world around me. I would like to get truck driver training, so that I can maybe get a good job, and be a good citizen. Aye, but here's the rub, I have no money! I am currently living in a veterans administration recovery program, and working the steps so that I can transition out into the community, so no money, no recent job history, a felony record, no driver's licence, and no leads. I have some schooling, having gone to college, and received an aa degree, but that doesn't seem to be enough reviewing my shortcomings. Please give me some positive feedback.

Hi, williamgalloway!
What sort of job experience and training for jobs do you already have, please? Also, what was your felony concerning?
Thanks!

Hi again, williamgalloway!
You've got a large variety of things that you've already done for employment.
How about taking a couple of those things and concentrating on marketing yourself in them?
Truck driving and security types of employments probably won't be available for you for a number of years.
How about being a handyman, working at a dinner theater as an actor or waiter/actor, cleaning homes and/or businesses? Getting into a labor union and working construction is another possibility. Just have to be able to pass some tests.
I can help you with how to market yourself for things where you might be self-employed.
Thanks!
