Turned defrost timer off than on. Does this mean that is not the problem?

Is there frost build-up in the lower back part of the freezer secttion? If so, the unit is not defrosting properly, either because the timer is not telling it to, or the defrost components are defective.
Turn to defrost, wait to see if defrost heater gets hot. If it gets hot then replace timer, if not check heater and defrost terminator.

If there is no frost and the compressor is running and the inside fan is running, you have a problem in the sealed system. This will require a qualified repair person.
