I purchased a new IMAC computer and I think I need Internet Explorer on my machine. Do I have to buy a copy or can I download it for free? I accessed A web page where it said it was free as I went to download it they wanted my credit card number. Please advise

Internet Explorer is not the ideal browser for a Mac because they haven't updated it for Macs in quite a while. It is also no longer available for download for Macs http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/internetexplorer/internetexplorer.aspx?pid=internetexplorer Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ and Safari (probably came on your computer) http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/safari/ are the best browsers for Macs. Netscape also works http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/ .

I agree with the people above. Firefox is a great browser for both Mac and PC.

Explorer for mac is free, but its old, outdated... Microsoft no longer supports/updates it..

Firefox is better. Or safari
