My dad is wanting to pull out a restraining order on my fiancé. I will be 18 in less than a year. There is no logical reason for it. There is no abuse or harassing. He just simply doesn't like the guy. Is there really anything he can do?

If you are under age (which you appear to be) your father can file for a restraining order on your behalf on "some" States. He can also file for a restraining order to keep your boyfriend away from him (your father) and his property in ALL States.

Whether it will be granted depends on proof. Not liking someone will not get him a restraining order. If you have something out of your question he might be able to get an order.

Why doesn't he like your boyfriend?

Like Judy said... you're a minor... he can do pretty much anything he wants, especially if your boyfriend is not a minor.
