I would like to move a toilet 28" to the right of where it is now located. The current pipe runs directly back to the 3" vent to sewer (approximately 18" of run). The slab is post tension and has a cable to the right of the vent pipe and to the front, between the toilet and the vent pipe. I intend on opening the floor between the cables and re-routing the drain pipe. To do so will require me to put a fitting (bend) at the vent pipe to redirect the drain to the new location. Will adding this one fitting in the drain be an issue?

Here's a picture to help. The new location is marked with a cross to the left of the toilet:

It looks like a typical So.California construction...

You should be OK. Make sure you don't hit the copper pipes while cutting new trench. As far as toilet drain goes: you have ABS pipe so it is easy. Just cut off the existing closet bend attach long 90 ( or 2-45s) and bring it to new location. You don't have to mess with the vent. It can stay the way it is. Good luck. Milo
