My sister-in-law told me that she was given Clodine for her son and I checked on the Internet and found out that it is a High Blood Pressure med. I couldn't find anywhere else where it was indicated for off label use for ADHD but that is what she was told it was for. She's going to check too on Monday. We are very concern since he is just 8 yrs old and since this appears to be an off label use and no listing of side effects, long term effects. Tks

I think your sister misspelled.
Clonidine is a treatment for ADHD.
Hopefully the pharmacy did not make a mistake in the prescription.

Clonidine is used to treat the symptoms of ADHD as well as seep deprivation and aggression.
So you may have the spelling wrong in this case. Clodine doesn't make any sense in this instance.

They also had my son on this med. 2 weeks to the date he started having haalucinations. They gave it to him to help him sleep. He ended up in picu for over a week. Be careful with this.
