I'm searching for the title of an animated movie which may be from the 70's or 80's, it was about a giant that lived in a castle, it was always winter at his castle, until the giant saw a child playing there, who he tried to scare away as he did with other children who tried to play in the yard of his castle, but he soon befriended the child, then it was summer at the castle, as if the curse was lifted by the giant's friendship with the child. I haven't seen this movie in many years, if anyone remembers it or if it sounds familiar please let me know the title of it.:)

This is only film that came up. But beyond me what is befriending giant and what not nothing comes up with anything lived in castle. Could be castle in sky? I not sure you have place this thread on forum of anime movie extremists... because I not sure what film this is? Sounds good.
