How the transistor works

Well.. You know every day we wash our hands under the tap of water. So, the transistor is like the tap it has an entrance for electrical current and an out for it and a control: as much we open the tap as much it gives us water this is simple image of transistor.
For technical details I can say that the transistor has 3 foot the base that is the control and the collector that is the entrance of water(electricity) and finally the emitter that is the out of current.
Usually we use the transistor to amplify the weak signals. Your Hi-Fi use powerful transistor to give the loud sound!
Historically, the ancestre of transistor was the bulb and they have systemically the same architucture. Just that the transistor uses little energy to work this what explain its success !
The inventors of the transistor have received Nobel prize for their invention they were 3 American scientists.
