Hello, I'm 22 yrs old and have been a college student for about a year now. I was convicted of felony (Robbery) when I was 18 and have since turned my life around. I need to know what kind of career can I obtain with a felony (If I cannot get my record expunged) and what type of careers I can't obtain with one.

Also I want to add that I live in Ohio and have already switched majors twice already. I am currently majoring in Business Computer Programming and Database Administration, but want to switch and go to school for a fire man in which my degree would fall under applied sciences or a social worker. Can I obtain a career in these fields and if not what fields of study should I look at where my felony (if not expunged) realistically might not totally disquailfy me?

Hi, college_kid!

Many, many people can get a degree and obtain positions with a felony on their records. What was the robbery conviction concerning, please?

Thanks!

Hi again, college_kid!

Would you please combine your second post with your original question to avoid confusion here. This place doesn't work the same way that a chat room does.

Thanks!

Ok my robbery was pertaining to a fight I was involved. I was 17 at occurrence but was later bound over as an adult. And am trying to figure out how to delete the 2nd post and add it to the first. Help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi again, college_kid!

It might be too late for you to combine the posts. 24 hours is the limit for most people to edit their posts. If you Go Advanced with the editing, you might be able to do it. But, you might not even have that option now because of the time limit.

What was the exact, legal title for that which you were charged and convicted, please?

Thanks!
