Hi, All!

How long will they last if not refrigerated, but in what you might consider to be ideal conditions? I.e. indoors in a moderate temperature away from extremes of heat and cold, etc.

Also, I've heard that chicken eggs don't last as long as they could if a person refrigerates them and then leaves them out, unrefrigerated. Is that true?

Thanks!

Don't really know how long they'll last uncooked but I do know that once you hard boil eggs if they are not kept refrigerated you will get ill after the eggs have been left out more than a day. Also even in the refrigerator cooked eggs will go bad within a week. While uncooked eggs can stay in the refrigerator about a week past their expiration date on the carton.

" just realized I left the egg carton on the kitchen counter overnight. Are the eggs safe to use?
The general rule is that if food items are at room temperature for more than 2 hours, the safest thing to do is to discard the product. If you leave eggs anywhere that is not refrigerated, the best thing to do is throw those eggs away and buy a new carton."
