Hi
I have about a 10 year old featherlite weed eater and recently it was stalling. Now I cannot even start it. I noticed that the gas line (one with filter) was breaking down in tank so I replaced it. I had a repair shop tell me that the filter did not need replacing. I have taken it apart and cleaned the carburetor (there was a small round metal screen that was quite dirty. When I put it back together I cannot get it to start even though I can if I put a bit of gas directly down the carb... it will run fine until all the gas I put in carb has burned and then it stalls... seems like not getting gas... I did not unhook the other gas line (larger diameter) at all. When I prime the bulb it seems to fill with gas... any suggestions out there!!

Hi,
Just a guess based on the info given, but you have the diaphragm and gasket reversed (probably the pump side.)
Peace,
Clarke

Thanks for the suggestion... I really appreciate it but can you possibly be a little more specific as what the two parts are (maybe tell me what numbers they are in the diaghram

Thanks and I look forward to your reply
