I have cleanout plugs, but I am doing a pressure test and the store doesn't carry it anymore.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the waxy sealant to use on the pvc threads for this purpose?
Thanks!

Never heard of the wax sealant before. You should just use teflon tape on the pvc threads, you are not to use liquid pipe dope(sealant) on plastic threads.

Hi Cyber...
As MGD77 said... teflon tape is the trick here. Wrap 7 or 8 wraps at each cleanout and you should be all set (10-12 wraps on 3" and above)!

Devco makes a PVC sealant but teflon works well and is more readily available. Pipe Sealant forms flexible bonds., Devcon (http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/30930)
