Here's what I would do:

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM):

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?displayName=Control+Module+-+Ignition&currentPage=1&categoryDisplayName=Ignition+(Tune+Up)&navValue=16200029&itemId=29-0&parentId=62-0

Heat, over time, has likely damaged the ICM.

. Replace the coil:

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?categoryDisplayName=Ignition+(Tune+ Up)&fromType=parts&fromString=search&parentId=62-0&currentPage=1&filterByKeyWord=ignition&isSearchByPartNumber=false&navValue=16200027&categoryNValue=16299999&fromWhere=&itemId=27-0&displayName=Coil+-+Ignition&searchText=ignition

. Replace the spark plugs, if they have not been changed recently. Use the same Motorcraft plugs that came in the truck. If you can't get Motorcraft plugs, go with Autolite AP765 (Single Platinum).

. Replace the fuel filter.

It looks like these parts are very inexpensive for your Bronco II.
