Maybe someone can help me.
I have a Packard Bell laptop with Millennium Windows Edition. I have wiped the system clean including the O/S. How can I get the machine up and running again or is it completely knackered.:(:(

Finding the Millennium disk would be a best option. If these disk are unavailable you could try one of the Linux distros built for older hardware with less resources. Both Puppy and TinyMe are nice operating systems with enough programs to allow you to have a fully functioning laptop. The Linux offers the bonus of still being supported and updated where as Millennium no longer dose.
With older hardware there may be some problems with device drivers in the Linux installs. A little Googeling will get you a long way to beating most problems of this type
