I have water coming up through some hairline fractures in my slab in one room. Water seems to be clean, meter is not running, seems to get worse with rain. Hole dug on exterior and sump pump put into ground and this is not working. Seems to be getting worse. Noticed a couple air bubbles yesterday seeping through the crack. That is a lot of ground water. When you dug your pit did you go 1' below the basement floor surface? Did you get pooling water.

Actually, while it didn't rain for 2 weeks the hole dried. Hole is about 3 feet deep. While hole was dried water was not as bad, more like damp concrete with no puddling. This was about a week ago however and might be just getting worse

Sure meter is not running, also had a master plumber confirm. Not sure what a hot water circulation pump is??

Don't worry about the pump if you are certain the meter isn't running. This sounds like a very poorly drained area so you must be swampy when its raining. I would consider digging another sump pump pit outside very close to the edge of the slab, go at least 4' deep and add gravel.

A great call. I dug about 3 feet deep (too much rain, couldn't get any deeper yet) and about 2 feet underneath the slap. Though interior slab is not oozing water anymore it is still damp. Finally some progress. I'm assuming now I need a professional to provide proper drainage?

Is you lot flat or depressed near the home. We need to divert the water away via gravity if possible, otherwise a pump is needed.

Gutters and downspouts would help with this issue. Right now you can get a 10' gutter at Menards for $1, hangers and caps are extra.
