Hi, I just got a latest macbook pro, but I have a problem: my system preferences place in the dock is now a grey question mark. I also cannot find it on my finder. Someone please help me.
P.S. It's not in the Macintosh HD/Applications as well. (I installed windows vista on my mac through Bootcamp, is this a problem may cause the trouble?)

Sounds like your system prefs have been moved or deleted from the "?" on the dock and the fact that you can't find them in the dock. Check the hard drive areas outside of the Applications folder and check the trash. If you find them just pull them back into the Applications folder. If they are really gone you will need to reinstall to get them back.

Thank you for your reply! I checked my hard drive, but I cannot find it. How can I reinstall to get the system preferences back? Just insert the installation CD?
