View Full Version : I need some creative minds for a homecoming theme!

So, every year at school during homecoming, each class decorates their hallways based on one part of a theme the school picks. For instance, we did holidays last year, and the juniors did Christmas.

Since I'm a senior this year, I'd like to present a good idea (don't worry, I won't take credit). It needs to be generic, stereotyped, and something that a teenager in 2009 would know about.

They did seasons the year before my freshman year, music genres freshman year, countries when I was a sophomore, and holidays junior year (like I told you). I can't think of anything "do-able". Any ideas?

One of the first themes that comes to mind is a time-line and turn the hallways into Jurasic Park, Dark Ages, etc.

My 16 year old daughter suggested Sports.

The sports idea is good, but it HAS to be tieable into football. Only one class would get it: the seniors, since we get first pick. The timeline idea is good, though. I wonder what we could do with it...

How about retro? 50's, 60's,70's and 80's

You could do a Biome theme, such as oceanic, Desert, Arctic, Forrest. Stuff like that. I think that would be fun. I like the idea of putting up blue paper on the walls and painting it with sea creatures, as well as probably having cardboard fish hanging from the ceiling, with bubbles, :)

You could also do a casino theme. We had a "casino" at my senior party last year, and it was a ton of fun. :)
