Hey everyone!
I am 16 years old an I have a naturally dark complexion.
Im interested in taking the Gluta-c whitening pills, can I?
I e-mailed Funky Momma and they said that they 'do not recommend it but if I do decide to take it, I must take 1 a day and drink plenty of fluids.
Why can't I take it? Its 'supposed' to be healthy for your body.
By the way, I'm taking it 2 lighten my complexion not all that healthy stuff ;)
Thanks

Sure you can take it.. but I guess they saying so because you are in the age when your body is changing... so that maybe the reason... it may cause some hormonal imbalance I guess...
Besides glut pills won't work.. so I don't see any harm in taking them !

I think you guys need to do more research before coming to the conclusion of buying products. It's been stated throughout this forum MANY times that Glutathione will generally not work through the form of pills or other digested materials.
Anyhow, try searching up "Glutathione" on this forum or any other search engine

To be honest, I was referring moreless to searching up the true effects of glutathione on melanin production. Anyhow, I don't believe glutathione will harm your body at any age; it's an amino acid and can also be considered an antioxidant that occurs naturally in all human beings.

Companies selling gluthione pills, including the Gluta-C whitening pills is a complete scam. They are all scamming customers of their money. Please do careful research on this and how our bodies reacts to it. Taking glutathione pills will never lighten the skin when taking orally, because it is broken down once it reaches the GI tract. The body does not properly absorb this when taken orally. The body needs to be able to produce large amounts of glutathione in our bloostreams in order for many to have the side effect. Even those who have taken it for several months or two years will not see any results from gluta-c whitening pills along with all of the rest. Scientifically impossible.
Thi is just brief information in this article, but it addresses the glutathione when taken orally and how these companies claims are all false Glutathione - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glutathione#Supplementation), but doing further research about the tests and studies on taking glutathione orally is a beneficial idea.

There's a good chance (over 50% of people) that her skin lightening regimine consists of more than just Glutathione pills. Be sure to verify whether she's become tanned and now lightening, or losing a skin shade that she's had for ages.

Hey lilgreg1, I asked her if she was always that colour and she said yes. She said she is using the Gluta-c cream. I am also using this product ( great results)

"Glutathione cream" is a different story then. Glutathione is known to help prevent cell oxidization, toxicity, and radical(s) effect on them, and therefore it's possible that it may temporarily impediment melanin formation.

Seems pretty obvious to me; it may (scientifically) prevent skin darkening and reduce the amount of toxins within the skin.
