Hi, I replaced the wall sockets on the main floor (13 of them). I installed the wires exactly the same. Origionally the kitchen was on 2 breakers, however now when I try to switch one breaker "on" it pops right away, and the other does nothing. I was told by the people at reno that I need to remove the tab on the sockets that have a "red" wire. I have 3 sockets with red wires. I ckecked the old plugs and 4 of them have the tab removed. I did not pay attention to this when I did replacement. I donot know whick plugs need to have the tab removed to allow the kitchen plugs to be separated onto the two breakers. Can anyone help? Thanks

The red and black can share 1 neutral, could be as easy as breaking off tabs where they have a red and black.
You could remove the reds, turn both breakers on and look for 240 volts between the black on receptacle and red wire, if 240 volts, tab should be broke.

Problem is fixed. I missed 1 red wire socket. Removed the tab and everything is fine
