What can I do. My moms mental state is interferring with her making rational decisions. She is delusional. She's been like this a long time .She moved down south from the midwest last year. I and my family moved her. She has 9 kids but she did not raise any of us. She had no one else that was willing to help so my daughters suggested we go get her . Anyway she's been living in a senior community. I moved her there cause I couldnot get her in assisted care which is where she really needs to be or in a nursing home. I had been looking after her as best I could and things were good except for those awful delusions and paranoia.and her awful temper. But now 3 times she has destroyed outside property that belongs to her nieghbor and the nieghors were complaining about noise coming from her apt . As a result the landlord wanted something done about the situation or she would have to move. I had to call csb to force mom to get treatment for her mental health cause that's what's causing her to do certain things. Mom has repeatly refused to go see a doctor. Even when she does see the doctor, who's going to make sure she takes her meds. She has made statements to the effect that she ain't going to a doctor or take medication. This place I contacted community services board is supposed to forcibly put her in the hospital. Does anybody know the entire process they follow? Is anybody familiar with this organization? It may be called something else in your state. Are they able to place the person in a nursing home from the hospital? How do I go about placing her in a nursing home? I asked them questions but I am not getting all the answers I need.

Hello data6170
What you should do is get your mother evaluated by a doctor to see if she has Alzheimer’s. Your mother would be better off in a Assisted Living facility. Call Ridgeview Institute at 1(800)329-9775 or 770-434-4567. This is a free confidential evaluations hotline Ridgeview Institute: Welcome to Ridgeview (http://www.ridgeviewinstitute.com)
