I am considering hiring a candidate that just disclosed to me she was in an accident several months ago which caused headaches, etc. She got a doctor's work release. If she starts missing time due to headaches am I able to document then release do to lack of productivity or am I restricted due to knowing her condition when I hired her?

Maybe someone has to give her a chance to get back into the workforce again and this is a good opportunity. She does have a doctor's release to go back to work and I guess that is all you need. Unless you don't think she is capable of filling the post you have, don't hire her. No, I don't think you are restricted but suggest you phone the Board of Labour to check this issue out.
