I read that they found agates in dinosaur bones. Is this possible, and if so, how is that possible?

hi kworley, no brainer actually if you give it some thought. They find semi precious material such as agate quite often in different parts of the world, fused with dinosaur bones but more so in Utah, Alberta, etc.
If there was any volcanic activity, molten rock, associated with dinosaur bones in the area, then the two get fused together. Jewellers love this type of find, agate (quartz) striations of different colours, because of its intrinsic value combined with gold or silver in rings and broaches.
