Go to your doctor, this person may need a different type of medicine. That particular one is quite old, and there are alternatives drugs like Revia, Campral, Etc.

If you have a regular doctor, you can visit him/her and ask for antabuse. I don't know the protocol if you don't have insurance or a doctor... maybe a clinic in your area that treats people based on income? I know there's one in my town. Somebody there could write you a prescription. Good luck...

May I ask if this person is in recovery? Please look into the proper procedures concerning detox before trying to do it at home. A person can die from alcohol withdrawals. Seizures can kill. The proper way is to detox at a hospital, a rehabilitation clinic/hospital, and a 12 step program... for life. GOD bless this person struggling with the demon. Please come back for help.

I never drank, gambled, used any kind of drugs and I quit smoking 18 years ago without using any anti smoking medicines. My sincerest advice to all those (specially children, teenagers and adults and everybody in between) who are using such or addicted to any kind of bad habbits, drugs, gambling, etc. etc. must start from themselves first. They must have the courage to say 'NO' to their friends who offer them the above. They must realize that they are not their friend, such friends are, in fact, are the worst enemies... to be continued...

Antabuse (dislulfiram): Usually requires 10-14 days after last dose to drink without unpleasant side effects.

Its idiot's like you who suggest this in AA. Ant abuse can really help people in you short-term. No it's not a long-term solution and the 12 step program is very good. Alcoholics need all the help they can get.
It was comments like this that put me off it whilst struggleing within AA. Why, because I felt that I was cheating. Your never cheating when your trying to deal with this demon. Maybe you should see the new AA information clip about what it say's about medication or the Living Sober Book.
People like you put youngsters off AA if they find comfort in God good, but don't ram it down there throat. By doing this your putting off so many people in today's society, your isolating so many people. This sounds like a harsh comment, but your killing something great. Thanks to all of the researches and scientists for developing all the medications and the Psychologists for their imput as well.
