I live on the top floor of a 36-unit condo and recently discovered the droppings of drywood termites that had been pushed out of a small hole at the top of the wall in my bedroom. This is in the corner next to the wall that is facing the street, with an exterior building overhang a few feet out from the wall.

I was under the impression that the homeowner's association is responsible for any damage or work to be done that's inside the walls, so expect the pest control work to be paid for by the HMO. Does anyone know if there is a law governing this?

Thanks.

Dorothy

Hi Dorothy I do not know if u are leasing, buying or you own your condo but u should find a section on your agreement or contract when you move in your condo about pest or termite control. I work for a pest control company and it been my experience that the builder is responsible for any damage u may receive up until a certain period. They are states law that protect you. You should research your state laws under to wood infestation report when buying a house or condo GOOD luck take care
