I had a Goodman unit installed approximately 3 years ago and no major problems until now. The contractor I used was supposed to be the best, however, my drain line got clogged so when I went to blow it out it broke. Upon further review I found that the contractor solvent welded the fitting to my drain pan. Now I have a broken piece of pvc that is welded to my pan. Any suggestions for removal so I can fix my drain and turn the unit back on??

You will have to use your mechanical skills to gently pry, poke, pull or cut the old part out. If the threads in the drain pan get damaged you will have to get a 3/4 inch pipe thread tap to clean them up a bit. NOTE a pipe thread tap is tapered.

Now if you have no experience doing this it might be better letting a pro do it since if the drain cannot be fixed you might have to get a new pan and they can be a big pain to install depending upon the situation.

This is the best I can do without seeing the problem.
