I don't know if I'm doing this correctly. Every time I plug in the numbers to my calc. I get 4.44 But the website is telling me its incorrect. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please help.
net income of $36,000 for 2009.
At the beginning of yr.there were $135,000 in assets.
By the end of yr. assets had grown to $185,000. What is the 2009 return on assets? (Round your answer to 1 decimal place. Omit the "%" sign in your response.)
I did it this way. 135,000+185,000= 320,000 find the average which means divide by 2. comes to 160,000 divide this by the net income which is 36,000 which is always 4.44444444.
so maybe I'm not rounding out properly, but I'm not getting it.
