2001 Simplicity Regeant mower. Will not start. Changed battery to brand new one, started right up. Turned off after mowing and the next mow, would not start. Need to jump it every time to start it. Starts right away when jumping it. What could the problem be? Thanks for any imput.

I do not know your skill level. It you have and know how to use a multimeter; you can check for a shorted rectifier, presence of AC and DC voltages.
