I am trying to remove 2 shower valve stems to stop dripping, however, I can not turn the valves by using my shower valve wrench. I even tried to loosen by spraying WD-40, Liquid Wrench and Lime-Away to the hexagon head area, but no good results. Please refer to some photos.

These are brass to brass connections. Put a longer "manhelper" on that wrench and apply steady pressure. Somethimg's going to break loose. Your wrench or the connection. If you find it impossible to break the stems loose you might consider opening the wall behind the tile and replacing the valve. Good luck, Tom

Yep, Tom nailed it. You need to put more leverage on the tool. Worst case senerio, you strip the nut, in which case you will most likely have to replace the complete valve assembly, which, judging from the pics, may be the best overall solution. PS. Make sure main water is shut of before attempting to remove stem nut. Lee.

I would suggest to spray some WD-40 at nut area and let is soak for 30 minutes, and use a stronger or thicker deep socket the one you use will slip and will not work properly and use some leverage as every one else says, good luck.
