Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a Backpack Blower but I'm stumped on the difference between these two.

Poulan Pro PPBP30
Poulan Pro - Poulan - Weed Eater - McCulloch - PPBP30 (http://www.poulanpro.com/node4029.aspx?pid=167829)

McCulloch ASB3206
Poulan Pro - Poulan - Weed Eater - McCulloch - McCulloch ASB3206 (http://www.poulanpro.com/node4029.aspx?pid=166679)

I know they are developed by the same company but they list them as two different ones. I've been looking for reviews on either of these and have come up with nothing on the McCulloch and some negative reviews on the Poulan from HomeDepot. So I decided to come back here and see if anyone has any idea.

I did try contacting the Poulan through email and they replied with:
"I am not a Mcculloch rep. sorry. I would just go with what you like."
Umm, not very helpful.

Also I'm considering the Husqvarna 145BT but the others seem to have more CFM and CC.

Personally go with the husq. I find there products to be of a really good quality. I wouldn't go with McCulloch simply because I've always had trouble finding parts for them.

Hi,
I do not know your price range, since it was not stated, but my favorite is the Stihl BR600 bar none. Yes I realize Echo, Redmax, etc. make fine machines.
Since you name your considerations, I gather the price range is lower, I would fail to be honest if I did not point out the Homelite/Ryobi selection in the same range. Yes, McCulloch is in the Poulan part of Electrolux now and Homelite and Ryobi have been folded together.
Many things happen in the OPE industry. If you have some question that involves something other than the decal and the color of plastic, etc. I would gladly answer.
Peace,
Clarke
