My cousin lives in a mobile home park. The lease states that one will have violated the lease if the police are called. On Saturday evening, the park manager came over to her house, yelling about her sister's kids going into the daycare in front of her house, getting a toy out of there, and destroying it. She claimed she saw it with her own eyes. She was told that the powerwheel belonged to my cousin's child, and had been in my cousin's yard previously. Not much later, the police came to the house and interviewed her and the kids. The police verified with the owner of the daycare that the powerwheel toy that was broken did not belong to the daycare. The powerwheel was broken alongside the road that is front of my cousin's house, but it is close to the daycare. This discovery shows that the park manager was hasty in calling the police, because the children did not destroy anyone else's property, as the manager claimed. On Monday, my cousin received an eviction notice. On Tuesday, she received a dispossessory notice tacked on her door. Is this legal? What can she do to prevent having to move out of her home?
