There is a bad smell coming from underneath my jacuzzi tub. I had been smelling something for days, thinking it was a leak underneath my house. It smelled like old, wet dirt. Finally found the smell coming from underneath my jacuzzi tub. When you take the side cover off, exposing the motor to the jets and all the pipes, the smell is awful. It smells just like the underneat of an old house, or a basement... etc. Just like old, wet dirt. Can someone help me? I can't take this smell. I put an air freshener under there, now my bathroom smells like floral old, wet dirt. Help!! I am desperate.

Water can stagnate and smell really gross. Have you tried spraying the underside of the tub with bleach water? Might kill whatever algae or bacteria that is growing under there.
