HI there,
I just want some ideas on what I can do to spice up my relationship ((non-sexual)). We are best friends, we've had a total of 3 arguments in the past year, and we're completely in love. But I need some ideas to break up the monotony of day-to-day life. If you need more background, please feel free to ask. Please don't suggest things like 10-day cruises, we are working folks, not rich, with a 9-yr-old starting school in two weeks. THANK YOU!!

Go on bike rides/walks together, go to a movie together while the little one is in school. What are your interests?

Maybe I should clarify, he works nights, and I work days. The only time that we have off together are weekends, which she has off too. We can get a babysitter, not an issue.

He's into cars, BBQing, and water ((Anything to do with water))
I'm into pretty much anything crafty and reading.
My hobbies are alone ones, and his are with many friends. I want a happy medium. I love our friends, and having them around, but I want an idea of something that we can do, just the two of us to grow closer.

Well you can do what I suggested on the weekends too, with or without your child. Make a scrap book together, take dancing lessons, plan a 'date' just because your married doesn't mean you can't still go out on dates :P! Go to a new restaurant, have a picnic. Haha sorry they are corny, I suppose my love life needs some spicing up as well haha!

Go camping at a lake and have a bbq, and go swimming, kids = optional?

These are greats ideas, but I mean something that will bring us closer. I don't see how a walk will do that. I would like to take dancing lessons, but all the ones that I have looked into are on week days. LAME. Perhaps we do just need to plan a date. LOL, just cause we have a boring life don't assume that we're married. Ha, we're not married.

Hi CM, I thought that perhaps doing a course together might bring you closer - I have no idea what you're interested in - bicycle maintenance, tantric sex, stamp collecting, home improvement, gardening... whatever.
Doing 'projects' together is usually good for bringing a couple closer.
Also what works is reading the same books and discussing them, going to the movies and talking about the film, sitting on the couch just 'being'.

Sitting on the just being is really what this post is all about...
And we are not into the same sorts of books AT ALL, we already tried that.
As for classes, all the ones that we can afford are the weekday ones...
