View Full Version : Peeing inside after JUST being out?

Hi. Our 8 week old female red nose pit bull is VERY smart. She whimpers to leave her crate ate night, holding her pee for the outdoors and sits every time to let us enter the house first, as we taught her. For being so young, we feel she is doing great.

THE problem: in the last 4 days she has urinated outside only to do it again in the house as soon as 10 minutes later. We can't figure it out. We are very attentive, loving and consistent. She is fed on a schedule so she isn't taking in food and/or water without us knowing.

When she does this we take her outside where she squats and looks up as if she is peeing, but she's faking it. (I swear)... We never allow her to see us cleaning up the mess so it doesn't turn into a game for her. We are lost as to why she is doing this and how to get her back on course.

Any ideas what might be going on here?

Seeing as how she is only 8 weeks old she only has a tiny bladder.

My mother brought her new poodle pup around over the weekend and in the span of an hour he weed on the floor 3 times.

So your pup may be going on the grass outside and then needing to go again once she is inside.

Just keep perservering, at 8 weeks they are only just starting to learn where they can and can't go to the toilet, you just have to guide them to the right place.

When I train mine if I see them weeing I grab them as quick as I can and take them outside.
Soetimes they will stop weeing when you pick them up, other times they will keep going and leave a trail to your back door
Most important thing though is to make sure they don't think you are putting them outside alone as punishment, you have to stay out there with them.
You can tell them "No" while they are weeing inside but once they are outside, it is all fun and games because you always want being outside to be associated with good things.
