Hi, a while back, my computer got an autodialer type program called ecpm which stopped my computer connecting to my cable internet. After many attempts to get rid of it, we consulted our provider who said we had to reinstall windows. But before we did that, we tried searching for ecpm in regedit, and deleted all trace of it. Whilst this proved successful and the internet again connected, ever since then, some movie files (avi's ,mpg's etc) stopped working. Whilst some files remained working in realone player and divx, others stopped working altogether saying a general error has occurred (in real player) and windows media player stopped working any files altogether, even after reinstallation. I was just wondering if you had ever heard of anything like this occouring before, or if you could provide me with any helpful information. Thanks a lot

Now you need to also reinstall real player if that's what you mostly play your videos in
